There was an article in a Rock magazine years ago, about flinders. there is an area of granite near the north of the island called Killiecrankie, which i understand is well developed climbing but still adventurous. I went to flinders a few years back for a wedding and loved the place. I unfortunally didnt climb but it was pretty easy to fly to and hire a van etc.. There are few roads on the island and only a couple of places to eat and buy food etc.. but had real charm. the fishing is awesome, so is the scenery and wildlife. you would need to be prepared to camp etc.. hire a van locally. i dont know much about killiecranky but see if you can find a guide book for it.
