In one short phrase It was "pretty darn good". If you are not interested in climbing overseas after Barbers presentation then you might as well go stick your head back into the sand. Not only has the man climbed in some amazing places but he has taken along his camera and taken some amazing photos which he presented last night.
It had a strong "environmental responsibility" theme running through it but I believe that coupled with some of the photos he showed made us all have a look at our own eco friendliness. The amount of climbing that the man has done "alone" as he likes to call it (solo) is quite frightening for the rest of us mere mortals but obviously has stood him in great stead in Dresden (Spelling?) and then on his stunning onsight first accent? of Thunder crack where he kicked out the only piece of gear after pulling the crux and could'nt find anyone to second it so finished the climb practically solo.
Henry had a very approachable attitude and spent a fair amount of time talking to people about the many places hed been and telling some great stories after the initial talk and slide.
There were so many different elements to the night that my sole report will do no justice to it at all so I encourage others to fill in the many gaps.
