A few years ago I was stuck in Tasman Saddle Hut for a few days in a storm. After reading all the books and magazines, hut bouldering, learning to juggle, and watching [name deleted] eat several codeine tabs out of sheer boredom, I suggested a board game as a less violent alternative to having a 'kumite' tournament in the hut.
After 5 minutes' thought and another 5 minutes sketching on paper, the result was "Hut Fever", a dice game sort of like Snakes'n'Ladders, where you start at Base Camp and finish at Summit. On the way there was snow blindness, helicopter rides, crevasses, short-cut couloirs, and lightning. It was good fun, but somehow the sheet of paper got misplaced at the end of the trip...

A mountaineering version of Trivial Pursuit would be good!
