I once went climbing out to Aliens Domain with Rob, a mate who now lives in Perth. When we got to the tyrolean he realised he didn't have his harness with him. No problems, I had some one inch tube tape so I rigged him up something. I thought I'd have a bit of fun and didn't give him any leg loops, which I could have, rather just a one-strand wedgie. This was no problems on the warm-up and second route as he didn't fall off, just complained a little when lowering. Then he hopped on Freak On a Leash and the dogging began. This was proving pretty painful every time he lobbed above a bolt..a real high pitched squeal. He didn't even make the anchors. He'd had enough about 5 bolts up, threaded one and lowered off. Last climb for the day( for him, I didn't let him off belay duties!!)
