There is alway a strategy to getting pies (and coffee) on the way to the crag. often it involves two stops but there are rare exceptions when you can get everything you need in one place.

the mountain high at wenty falls is on the wrong side of the road for an early morning pie. takes to long to get there but they do make a good pie.

the wentworth in blackheath make great pies and coffee but you will spend your weeks wage in purchasing them. on the other hand they probably constitue a full days worth of food and at least one visiting victorian has attributed a day without ticks to being weighed down by these monster pies.

the pastiserie in blackheath makes decent pies at decent prices.

Berry bakery makes a mean meet pie in assorted flavours. choose your weapon to aid your ticking (get the curry pie if your heading for southe central). the bakery also make passable coffee but it woudl be remise of me not to mention the sourdough bakery in berry for coffee. otherwise i might get run over by the bandwagon :)
