A few of us industry types have talked from time to time about the idea of running a "swap meet" for outdoor gear. The idea is we pick a day and a carpark or similar, everybody brings their gear in, prices it and the buy, sell, swap takes place. There are a couple of ways to do it. We can run it like the STAV show, where everything is sold on your behalf and 20% goes to the charity of your choice (VCC, Rebolting Vic?). Prices are fixed by the owner, with advice (if requested) from dodgy people... Or Just the standard Swap Meet/ Trash & Treasure method... There are plenty of industry starters, how many others? I suggest being VERY flexible about what can be included; just about anything loosely around outdoor/adventure sports...
