I received a summons to court the other day for my absentee vote not making it into the polls for whatever reason on 18 March last year (South Aus local elections) with a $230.80 fine. I did the right thing and rolled up to another electral office. Crazy thing is that the summons to court offered no explanation whatsoever for what I was being summoned for! I had to make a gazillion phone calls to find out what for. Then explained the situation only to be told that it's my word against theirs in court ... I'm rather upset about this as you can imagine ... it's very hard to restrain my language in this email but I'm sure you can fill in the F's between every second word.
