Id been toproping maybe 4 times and set up a couple of top ropes when we decided to go to Arapiles for a weekend. After following my "great" leader up the first pitch of D minor (14?) he freaked out when he had a good look at the overhangs and said we'd have to abseil down and ask someone to retrieve our gear for us, So i grabed the rack pulled out a nut and said these things go in the crack..right..yeah? Got to the top, set up a belay like a toprope with slings and bought up my "great" leader. The only reason I went up was that I was too scared to abseil so you can imagine my joy when I saw the hanging abseil off the back. AHHHH good times |
