Jump onto google earth and enable the Panoramio icons and have a look around our beautiful city for yourself.

Also, jump onto you tube and search for Melbourne. There are quite a few tourism Victoria films / ads that do the place justice.

IMHO, of the 21 countries I've been to, Melb is the best city for living a good life.
The dining (variety and quality) is close to the best in the world.
The architecture is a mix of beautiful Victorian / goldrush era stone, and modern glass buildings.
The air is clean, people friendly and funky and the city quite safe.

I do have a friend from the UK however who cannot buy property because he is neither a permanent resident, nor a citizen.
