Neil, I never said anything about bolting every route. I mean that certain areas, even if that means "retro-areas" should be properly bolted. Not all of us have the "balls" or desire to spoon around with gear.

I love all you guys getting on here ,beating you chest about the courage/vision/superior physical and mental attributes of legendary climbers and style of first ascents. Talk to the people who were around and they will tell you about the shenanigans that went on, the ridiculous egos and the ruining of good climbing all in the name of climbing as some form of counter culture. W*nk.

Respect were respect is due and nowhere else. As for visibility and tourist impact, the buckets of chalk on Taipan are far more outrageous than bolts on lower Taipan and also drilling new routes on a weekend eh, Neil? :)
