Stupidest thing youve seen? 17-Apr-2007 At 12:41:24 PM Dworx1

I think the stupidest thing i saw was after easter at raps at bushrangers bluff, we rocked and there were two "climbers" leading an easy climb on the right of melvins cave. Any way were set up some topropes and began climbing, eventually they ended up near us and procedded to lead a grade 9 or 10 cant remmeber, that was all fine, but then they came back down and wanted to lead long bow, grade 10 or 11, one of the chicks said no way but the other was keen, the one that didn't want to lead apprently had more exoperience than the other and was out teaching her how to lead. The "teacher began to lead Long bow, and as i watched i became more and more worried. This "teacher " lead the climb using none of her rack but three slings, no nuts nothing although there are plent of natural pro spots, further more she ran out at one stage more than 4 or five meters to get to the next bollard to place a sling. if shed have fallen then she would have hit the deck, then at the crux "of an 11" she chickens out and goes to the left which looks easier but is actually hard than contuiniing the line, i sat back watching and waiitng, she was completley stuck and after about 30 mins of just hanging/standing there she yelled oyut she couldnt go any further, her last sling was a good meter below and i'm assume she had no idea how to get out the situation sh'd got herself into. She was lucky she could bail out by stepping right a few meters to get off and even then we had to yell out direction so she could get off the climb. I wonder what would have happned if she couldn't have walked off to the right at the top and no-one esle was there????
its bit like the blind leading the blind.......
