About 6m, on an 8m climb. Several years ago at Araps (1998?) I had a go at The Stoat Steps Out ("everyone's first 18", apparently). Anyways, I wasn't really ready for 18 yet, did a few laps of the crux trying to commit. Finally, extremely pumped and nervous, I went for it. My surprise at getting through the crux so easily was almost as great as my surprise when my tired fingers peeled off the large summit jug without warning. My belayer was also taken by surprise, I think he might have been looking the other way. It was a clean flight, feet-first -- "whoosh!" -- ending about a metre or so off the deck. Held by a #2 WC Rock. I haven't had a lead fall since (probably because I haven't done any sport climbing) but I've done a bit of hang dogging at times, like when I dislocated my shoulder on lead. Have had a wire pop on me while 'dogging as well.
