I spoke to Fred a couple of days ago and he told me he 'flashed the link-up' section. I don't doubt that part of the story, because he might have done the moves in the part that links the routes first shot.

As for the grade I think someone else needs to do it before putting a grade on it and who knows it could well be 31.

Also you cant call a link-up a flash if its the first ascent, this would suggest that you had got beta or seen someone else on the route before you ticked it, surely if its the first ascent it would be an onsight, but there lies the issue that you cant onsight a link-up if you have previously done the routes that you are linking.

The link-up is unquestionably hard and congrats to Freddy for sending it!
