Amanda Watts has a fantastic house in Blackheath with rooms for rent. She is charging $15 per person per night, though I think she might give you better rates if you are staying longer. The house is a 5 minute walk from the Centennial glen / Shipley climbing area, and the same from the rail station and the town centre of Blackheath (no car needed). It has great views over the Glen to Mt. Blackheath.... give her a call. She has left contact details on the "8a.nu" website. I stayed there on the weekend, and can definitely recommend it. It also comes with a bouldering wall downstairs and Amanda is mates with loads of the local climbers, and a great host!
