Well, a copy of Crux 2 managed to evade both John Howard and US Homeland Security and find its way up over to land in my mailbox. The CRUX mob is on a roll - definitely a little ripper this issue - by crikey. Nice job on the Taipan piece and any beta on climbing in the Great Aussie Death Zone (Frog B.) is a must have. A Squamish mate of mine raves about Moonarie (since he climbs like 5.14 something it obviously caught his attention) it would be good a have a future crux piece reveal the mysteries of that special place. How salient would it be to have a special "celebrity climber" section - exclusive photo spread of someone like Stephen Harper belayed by John Howard (or vice versa) climbing Aussiemandymous or Skunks on the Rim?!!

Maybe a "prospects" piece - climbing in a world of rapid climate change - what can we expect (note the degeneration of the Eiger and other Swiss gems) - the submerging of the Sydney sea cliffs? and so on. What will Aussie climbing be like in another 50 years? new gear? new ethics? new standards? Will there be climbing outside of climbing gyms? Olympic trad climbing competitions with the world trying to unseat the Kiwis? Doping standards at indoor climbing competitions? Could be a fun piece to have some antipodean hardman/woman predict the future from this time and place.

I'll renew my subscription and promote the mag to others on this side of the big pond.
On the basis of Cruz exposees it looks like Aussie climbing is on track to big things in the future.
