HB Quadcams now have full strength stoppers (can be used passively) as do almost all others (Aliens dont). Most of the companies have simply increased the size of the stoppers which were only there in the past to stop the things unfolding (backwards)when you let the triggers go.
Camalots worked passively as a side effect of the twin axle design.
And I don't think they do the tri-cams anymore either (at least not imported to Oz), Metolius, DMM and Wired Bliss still do theirs...
