Arapiles camp closing due to drought? |

Sorry - my original posting on Qurank might have come across a bit extreme. IF the drought continues thru this summer, and IF the bore water runs dry, they MIGHT have to close the toilet block.
Presumably pit toilets could be established, but I didn't/haven't discussed that option with any of the rangers and don't know what the pros and cons of this option are.
Water use (conservation) I've seen at the Pines has been commendable. The fire dam is at the lowest level I've seen it (6 Xmasses here now), although a couple of locals have mentioned 2002 as being a reasonable year.
