I got lazy with my searching around on the net, so thought I'd just do it the easy way and ask a few questions on here!

I'm planning a trip over to NZ in Feb, climbing around the upper Tasman Glacier. No flights booked yet, but looking at flying into Cristchurch. Which I assume is the best way to get to Mount Cook Village?

Can anyone suggest a good cheap bus company that goes between Christchurch and MCV?

And how about a good cheap supermarket in Christchurch? I'm taking another guess here that anything in MCV is ridiculously overpriced.

What about likelyhood of jumping on a plane up the Tasman with another party? I'm planning on going around and asking all the companies if we can squeeze in anywhere - if nothing comes up we'll just have to bite the bullet and fork the dosh out.
