Snakes on rock 28-Sep-2006 At 1:40:41 PM nico
Well, yes ... had a smallish (100cm) brown dislodged above me; I was belaying Mel on the first pitch of Equilibrium at Booroomba - I heard an odd sort of rattling noise as it tumbled down the slab and fetched up in a little bush just above my head. It looked cross, so I did a variant start, and spoke to Mel rather severely. She hadn't even noticed that she wasn't alone on the rock. Oh.

And there's at least one snake which gets a guidebook mention - see a nice beginners' climb Tarentella (10) at The Cloisters, in ACT Granite.
