I've never climbed without a helmet! If I tie in without it for some reason it feels like something’s missing and I soon figure out what :) I'm sure people could argue it's much more comfortable driving without a seat belt but we're all so used to it, it feels weird driving without one. That said I do think helmets hinder your awareness of what above you a little, I'm forever banging my head into stuff because, I think, I can't feel its presence through the plastic-but no harm done :)

I adorn my brain bucket with apple stickers (where else ya gunna put em) that way if I arrive at the hospital I can prove to the doctor I’m not supposed to be sick!

As for the sexy factor, I can't say the fact someone is wearing a helmet has ever stopped me having a cheeky perv ;) If ya wanna look sexy take off your shirt-it might protect you from a few grazes and sun burn but your bulging muscles will divert attention from your helmet which might just save your sexiest organ - brain injury isn't sexy (might have something to do with the drooling and crapping in a bag)!

Each to their own, I just don't like seeing people get hurt - it spoils both our days :)
