Yep some sense, but I think it is better because these new devices, if easier to use as recommended than a grigri, are more likely to be used correctly. The grigri is hard to use correctly, and a lot of people have bad habits with it. If the SUM and Eddy can be used correctly more easily, and it would seem they can, then they are safer.
