Are you sure that's right? Whilst sandstone is a pretty broad description and some sandstones have a high CaCO3 content, quartzose sandstones approach nearly 100% silicates as the cementing agents.
For what it's worth, my 'suggestion' of using acid to wash the chalk off was largely in jest. Don't do it, people. |
