Yeah, we all get it - smoking is bad for you.
I've met French, German and UK climbers who were onsighting 8a+ and in one case redpointing 8c. They all smoked. I've raced in club-level road cycling were to smoke would have been considered unthinkable.
The point I'm making is that there are climbers out there, particularly European climbers, who turn in world-class performances and smoke moderately to heavily. Sport climbing and bouldering are not adversely affected by smoking to the same extent that endurance sports are.
That doesn't make smoking any better for you. |
