okay sorry for the delay - thanks Dave for the above post, the tabled results will be on www.thelacticfactory.com.au shortly.
but for the meantime......

Wrap-Up Round 3-The Lactic Factory Boulder Comp
After a false start, (the comp was delayed 3 weeks due to a severe viral infection which left Christian in bed for a week) round 3 kicked off on the morning of Saturday the 22nd of July.
The new timetable saw the juniors queuing at the door 15 minutes before registration opened, so they were put to good use cleaning the gym (much to the astonishment of their parents) before they signed in. The usual suspects from the previous rounds all turned up and with the exception of Josh, a very, very close competition evolved. First place went to round 1 & 2 winner, Josh Fawssett (190 pts) climbing well in front of the others. Second went to Doug Stewart (155 pts) and third to Joel Wilson (154 pts) in his first Lactic Factory comp. Jayden Irving (152 pts)put in a valiant effort after arriving an hour late. He quickly pushed himself into forth, narrowly missing third by two points. Madeline Melder (157 pts) had to work for her first place this time with Felicity Clarke (136 pts) climbing extremely well to keep in touch with her.
The intermediate climbers were next to enter the gym, now climbing at a separate time from the open category. Some excellent climbing was seen from first place getter Jesper Sidhu (198 pts) with David Barton (193 pts) following closely behind. NSW visitor Aiden Benton (185 pts) who turned up just for a climb and was talked into competing was pleasantly surprised to walk away with third place. The regular training that Miriam Taig (144 pts) put in over the extra 3 weeks really seemed to pay off with a convincing win over Rachel McEwan (92 pts) and Alison Thompson (72 pts).
With the open climbers in their own timeslot it felt positively spacious in the gym, at least until all the spectators filed in. With the prospect of a few visiting NSW strongmen in town for a wedding, the setters were particularly evil setting some problems with the intention of shutting them down. The open mens winner was no surprise with James Kassay (286 pts) cruising into first place. This time however, he didn’t manage to flash everything. At the conclusion of the competition his score sheet was missing the two hardest ticks in the gym, yet considering that he started the day with a scab covered hole in his right index finger tip, it was a top effort as usual. Despite having a particularly frustrating day, struggling through multiple attempts on multiple problems, Bryn Hosking (268 pts) illustrated the benefits of training with a world-class climber by (eventually) following James up most of the hard problems. Third place went to Justin Power (230 pts) also having a frustrating day on the hard problems. Interestingly, most of the open entrants complained of a having a high gravity day. Anthony Prieto (229 pts) was not his usual high-flying self but then he came straight from work and hadn’t eaten for 8 hours….
The open women’s event was again very close with just a few points seperating first and third. Bec Foxen (173 pts) climbed extremely well to take out first place. Andrea Hah (169 pts) was a close second in her first Lactic Factory boulder comp and after taking a few spectacular falls off some hard stuff on the 45°wall Alison Wong (168 pts) took third.
Once again I would like to thank all the people involved in creating this comp. In particular the sponsors, FEED THE RAT, Scarpa and Mountain Designs. Also thanks to the hold strippers, hold washers and route setters for getting the a whole gym’s worth of holds down, cleaned, up and graded in 24 hours.
