As sad as this is, the time when I've been my strongest at climbing was when I was training hard indoors only over 4 times a week, also doing chinups and pushups until time of collapse. As gay as it sounds, I did reach personal bests through that effort, and have never climbed stronger.
However if you want to lose the pure enjoyment of climbing then that is the way to do it. My advice is to climb outdoors and do it often. You will get stronger and more confident on the sharp end over time and with practise alone. Push your muscles indoors, push the grades outdoors....
