ive climbed on a thin 9.6mm before on a gri-gri.
but iam very aware that the company does not advise this, although the cam on the gri-gri closes right down to about 2 or 3mm so lock it will no matter what size rope. if its threaded the right way it will do its job.
i dont not own a 9.6mm rope i own two 10.5mm that i climb on. did anyone see this accident happen did anyone check whether or not the rope was the right way through after the accident. my guess is no,make sure you allways check your gri-gri's people before climbing. |
