hey guys, just letting you all know that there has been some bouldering going on at melvilles caves (mt kooyora) there are now about twenty or so good granite problems range v0 - v6/7 (est) anyway the scope for new stuff out there is huge literally hundreds (thousands?) of boulders out there, anyway there is a group going out sunday if anyone is interested. weather forecast is good, and i'd love to show some people around to see what they think. there are a few of us who are quietly excited about this area at the moment. rock is fairly sharp granite, fingery balancy slabs, a couple of over hanging problems, cracks and a wicked dyno that just went up at about v5?

Good work Staley! Glad to see more people enjoying the much maligned Granite boulders. Heaps of development has already gone on all along the Granite corridoor to Bendigo. Given the vast amount of rock in the area, it's easy to pick and choose the nicest rock and lines to do. With also the large amount of Granite out at Melvilles, it was only a matter of time these spots started to draw interest from Bendigo locals.

Look forward to hearing more and seeing pictures down the track.

Don't forget to document it! I might even put it in the next edition of the NW Vic guide. Have a look at what Paulie and the Border climbers put together for Beechworth and aim for something like that.
