True that. That's one of the chief reasons I think I'll get a D70 or D1 body - to learn to drive flash well. WRT desktop images - be mindful of the colours/contrasts used around the edges so people can still clearly see all their icons. EG - the gym shot is overal quite dark and suitable, but the the bright hold on the LHS could get in the way. perhaps add a fade mask in this case. EDIT - or you could simply mirror this image :)
