Have any of you seen ' Sub Zero' ?? another Ice climbing weapon of mass destruction movie...

waste of AUD $ 1.00 haha funniest (?) bit they end up on a glacier in a white out, everyone stands about arguing.. one bloke says he'll lead and thows himself headlong into the snow on the ground. crawls fwd using one axe to check the ground ahead. the others are putting him on 'belay' on about 50 m of rope he drops though into a cravass and they are all trying to grab the rope .. there is no belay device, the rope was just being fed out to him.. he'd gone about 10 M but they still pulled him up a metre from the bottom of the cravass.. he dies later in an avalanche so it's all ok.

I loved The Eiger Sanction from the climbing point of view (except for the lead then top rope scenes) I had been told that the pillar thay climbed was a first ascent... I have often thought about getting newbies I climb with to carry up beer after that..
