I think that's called a 'shadow' Neil. If you wait long enough the sun will come around & then it will be in front of you.

As for bugs and beasties my/my partners worst encounters have been bees, ants, wasps and march flies. Have also seen someone get bitten by a yabbie in the Plumb Jam crack at Ben Cairn. We did have an encounter with a massive tiger snake at Black Hill where it came up the hill & we were directly in it's path, & he was not stopping for anyone. Not aggressive, but we had to swiftly get out of his way.

As for Drop Bears??? How stuipid do people think we are. Everbody knows drop bears only drop out of trees, so if there are no overhanging trees you'll be right. ps. take a couple of bundies just in case.
