When I was competing my strongest leg was the swim. That may explain why I wasn't all that good. By the end of the season my run leg was getting a lot better though.
I'd have to agree with Martin on this one. It's a lot easier to make up the ground you lose in the swim over having a weak ride or run leg. In my category I was usually in the top third in the swim leg and in the bottom third in the run and swim leg. I did manage to improve the run leg to where I was in about the middle of my category, but by the time you've stuffed the ride it's hard to make it up with a good run.
One day I may even get back in to it. |
