I spent a week camping at Wye creek in August.. awesome time. I'd say you need a certain amount of strength ice climbing vs rock. There is a bit of a rush crossing avalanche gullies to access routes, crossing ice boulder fields etc to get there. I was belaying a guy on top rope on this gully and he was struck by a fairly big snow slide (not quite avalanche). Thankfully he cleared the loose snow & ice and it's my turn. I think it was a grade 2+ or 3
