How to fund a serious climbing habit? 30-Aug-2005 At 7:48:43 PM kerroxapithecus

Mostly good advice here. But I don't really go for the rationing. I don't like deprivation as a principle. Abundance is better. Not sure how the recycling thing happens with the food, montieth. lol. ...conjures up ugly images.

Balance is a good thing. Paradise, it's great that you love your job. Some people may climb excessively because they haven't found a career they can get into - or something that inspires them and helps them achieve their higher purpose. Climbing can be an addiction, just like gambling, drinking, shopping or excessively working out at gyms. It can be something that keeps people from finding a purpose in life.

Some say you can manifest what you want including money. I don't have much and have had really hard times - only because I decided to study while raising a child by myself and not work fulltime so that I could achieve what I wanted to. It's not fun but since I believed that money would come to me and stopped being concerned about how, it has and I believe it will continue. I too am not willing to forfeit doing what I want for financial security or material possessions.

Say the following mantra daily:
The universe (God, whatever) provides for me each and every day so I can have and do everything that serves my highest good
I deserve the financial rewards that come to me
I willingly and gratefully receive the gifts the universe provides for me
I have all the money and time I need to enjoy climbing

Throw away clutter and don't hoard stuff you don't need or use. This allows open space for everything you want to come into your life.
