I think if you ask around most people would be prepared to pay an annual fee of $10-20 for access to up to date route info. This would enable the site to be maintained while not asking people to pay an arm and a leg for route info. It would be quite easy to promote new areas this way and to document new "trad" lines so as they dont become "new" sport routes 3-5 years after etc etc etc I think the idea has great potential.
