can't wait for the coffee poll.......
I smoke...alot, and the like Stuck in UK wrote , I also never leave butts around the crag, I try be extra careful and either carry a small ashstray or alternatively put the butts in something. As for the harm it is doing to me, I never think about it. It is what I choose to do and when I choose not to I shall probably quit. Secondly smoking is addictive and being addictive it becomes an unconsious act to light up. Now and again you stop to think about, and for me that happens when I know I am smoking too many in a single day.
Yes it does affect fitness but I know you can reach a high level of fitness and still smoke. For several years I was running approx 50 - 70 km a week as well as intensive gym training four days a week. At that point, the only way I could have reached anything resembling an elite level of fitness would have been to quit. But I was/am not ready for that as yet
