I have worked on both the Camels Hump section of the Western Guide and the Tenneriffe + Big Hill section of the Eastern Guide. I estimate that I spent about 40 or 50 hours working on the Camels Hump section and over 100 hours working on the Tenneriffe (including travel time). To date I haven't asked for or received one cent of payment although I did get a free copy of the guide. The time I've spent on the guidebooks is insignificant when compared to the input from Bill Andrews. I resent people like Pat complaining about guidebooks when clearly they don't have a clue what actually goes on. I would suggest that if anyone has any complaints they should get off their bums and contrubute in a possitive manner.

Regarding Turpins Falls: I've been bouldering out their for years. There are a couple of excellent boulder problems rising from the water just to the left of the main waterfall. There is also a good easy boulder traverse heading right from the existing climbs. If it's too hot to climb at Black Hill, Turpins falls is a good option.
