No it doesn't rain in the desert it floods. Mmmm.. the memories of flash floods running down the river gorges in the Northern Territory, but anyway ..The Moonarie guide book (or at least the one I have) does mention that the area has a season that a 4WD is recommended, due to the weather. Vaguely remember AUG thru OCT, but I wouldn't go out on a limb for that answer.
