had one weekend class, w/- a bendigo outdoor ed student, via castlemaine CAE, which was exciting and encouraging. a year or so later joined the UNEMC. this gave me experience, and over time education. Seriously valuable mentoring and enough experience to realize that it would be worth buying my own gear. the university of new england club was seriously important in my learning to lead.
