Climbing ropes under static load will elongate about 10%, under dynamic loading it's about 30%. I'm just wondering why you consider a top rope fall, a low force one? isnt a toproping fall essentially static loading? (maybe im missing something here) either way have you ever really found this to be a problem, surely grounding while clipping the second bol on a lead is far worse >?
