Steph, You can get a fairly good idea of your body fat levels by getting a skin fold analysis done. Most gym instructors (normal gym) would be able to perform this. Check their qualifications 1st. The more sites taken or measured, the more accurate it would be. The AIS protocol takes a skin fold from your bicep, tricep, one near your arm pit, near your shoulder blade, on your side near your hip bone, out from your belly button, one above your knee on your thigh and one on the inside of your calf. They take all these numbers and either put it into an equation or compare the total to a gender/age based table with percentiles. Hope this can help cheers Johan
