Only problem with that is that there are no showers at the pines. So the people you massage (and you!) probably haven't showered for some time....

Wendy. Good onya for practicing what you preach. The thing that gives me the shits most about these sort of issues is that even when your community appears to be making some good progress there are vast numbers, even a majority of people elsewhere in the world who are living at the complete opposite extreme.

I've been living in LA for the last few months and was flabbergasted that they basically have no concept of environmentalism. The use of polystyrene is still prolific. Every day there are 10 lane freeways full of cars at a standstill because they have useless public trans. There is no recycling where I live. The pick up trucks just seem to keep getting bigger. The meals are so big that half the food served up goes to waste. They put 3 items in each plastic bag at the supermarket. I work for an aircraft design company which promotes the use of machined aluminium and titanium structure because the latest technology makes it reasonably cost effective. However, it means that the lightweight structure we build is carved out of huge blocks of metal 95% of which goes to waste..or at best ends up used to make coke cans. And LA itself has the population of Australia.

The only time places like this are going to change is when its in their short term economic interest.

Oh well, I guess we just take care of our own back yard and try to make the facts clear (which many green groups have a bit of difficulty with sometimes).

PS I don't see why golf clubs need to be made out of titanium! Bit of a waste.
PPS Is it true that the name Wendy was first used in the book Peter Pan?
