I was up at Camels Hump last week and noticed Boogie Till You Puke and Satanic Verses have been liberally decorated with 'tick marks'. I'm not anti chalk but this effort is way excessive. Every foot hold marked with dots, hand holds - lines and arrows and even the ring bolts marked. Large holds that you could not miss have been marked and also the crack top out on SV which is about 10 grades easier than the climb.
Apart from the aesthetic damage to the rock these tick marks would destroy any onsight attempt. Arrows pointing to holds in my book is almost the same as rap inspecting the route.
