do haircuts represent grades reached & styles of climbing?
like handkerchief or earring symbolism?
off the top of my head:
dreads = high sport grades (but at what grade does one graduate to dreads?)
shaved/cropped head = either trendoid gymbo dude or aging bumbly pretending not to be bald (like me)
spiky gel = medium sport grades
long hair no beard = solo suspect
beards longer than hair = trad on the descending grade slope or trad bumbly
hair longer than beard = young hard trad with serious ethics
beard and hair of roughly equal length &/or helmet hair = every second weekend with VCC and probably a nice bottle of wine
any others or corrections?
