I jumped off a few times to get a relatively new belayer more familiar with catching real falls. It is not much fun climbing when you know the belyer has never held a lead fall before.
I guess I have done it as much to bost my confidence in them as well as show that whipping of really isn't that bad most of the time.
Besides, jumping or whipping off is pretty fun (so long as you don't hit anything). |
