Mike is it possible to run an anonymous poll that goes in some way to working out whether people appreciate general banter in the general discussion or just strictly factual climbing info (like fatboy above)?

Perhaps a new forum header for climbing discussion versus the current general discussion could be put in place. That is if the voting facility does not achieve the same filtering outcome.

I would have to debate the comment about 'a sad end to a great forum' - based on the number of people logging on each day? I don't know for sure but it would appear to be going well.
