Hi folks,
Following info from the people working for State Rail Re: access Mt. Boyce.
If heading in there, please be mindful of keeping good relations with Council and the railways. Park in designated areas and please keep away from obvious worksites.
Cheers

"Sydney Trains, is carrying out the Mount Victoria Area Remodelling Project.

We will be working next to the rail corridor between Blackheath and Mount Victoria from Monday 1 July to Wednesday 31 July 2019, near the entrance to the Mt Boyce Rock Climbing Area. The Sydney Trains access road from Mount Victoria will be closed during this period. We will have signage in place on the gate near the Fairy Bower Picnic Area.

Public access from Blackheath to the Mt Boyce walking tracks will remain open, except for Monday 1 July to Wednesday 10 July 2019, inclusive. We apologise in advance for any inconvenience."

Thanks Glenn. Good to know. The railway peeps have always been very accommodating in my experience.

Hi Regdog! Hope all is well.

Yes, the workers are pretty good about access. Management have been considerably better since we dug out the correct maps of the Blackheath end access. :-)
Climbers should be aware it was only reopened due to the lobbying of the Blackheath Camino Walkers and MTB Coalition. Great people.
Access remains tenuous with the work going on and no long term solution has been arrived at, yet.

Usually more going on in the background than people realise.

Cheers
