i can recomend the routes in upper gara, you can get a guide from the outdoors shop in armidale, one of the guys working there climbs a bit and should be able to help you out. there are a few short cracks and some good small faces, good fun if you are looking to break up a trip (or are home for the holidays) but the quaintity and length is a bit on the low side compared to the granite around canberra. it is definately a bit of a mission to sort out where things are the guide is really confusing and not particularly clear.

i would avoid ebor since it is short overgrown and dirty in most places, though the climbing around coffs is not bad, good rock and moves though a few of the bolts are a bit interesting...the drive in to most of the crags is a bit on the rough side but not too bad. there is a guide on the web i can chase down the link if if you are interested.
