Alright, what idiot is training people to say secure every time they clip a bloody draw?????
We visited the zoo that is Kangaroo point last night and a few climbs over is a fella that looks like he is taking a lead test by some dude with a clipboard and he says 'secure' every time he clips a draw.
Say what?
Who is teaching this sort of crap?

The Kp incident this post and others like the scarier "safe" brings to mind this non climbing tragic accident

As much as I hate over regulation and Maybe I'm naive but given we do alll the all the uiaa crap about gear strength and bolts. Surely we can come up with less than half a dozen "calls" and standardise those as those fk ups seem to be causing more stuff ups than gear failure

Oh Spewgang, you know I love you dearly, but you're going to die screaming with an attitude like that. Let natural selection run its course. You know it makes sense.

Sounds like you had a pretty good opportunity to ask clipboard [Moderator edit: unnecessary offensive term removed] who the fuch he is and what the fuch he thinks he's up to.

No, I was with a beginner climber and my responsibilities lie with myself and her safety as well as utilisation of our short time frame.

Why read it to youself? https://lingojam.com/robotvoicegenerator
I think dropping the pitch as low as it can go works quite well. Up higher sounds a bit Stephen Hawking.
