Speaking of weeds, what about hemp? Which variety to plant will need to be agreed upon. Old timers can make their own ropes (which will save the caterpillars) and dirty hippies can do what they're want to do while the rest of us sit around and enjoy the ensuing good times...

EDIT: think of the possibilities; Arapiles could become the beacon of earth friendly climbing and manufacturing and possibly capitalism. Behold, Hemp Arapilesandsteingebirge. Hemp protection; hemp clothes; hemp ropes; hemp RP's... We would need to select a few overlords to guide this project and for labor we could enslave long term residents of the Pines. They can still stay for undefined periods and climb all they like; provided their daily quotas are accomplished. Dirty hippies the world over would love it... We'll slap an 'organic' sticker on everything, call it wwoofing and make a killing;) if in the event if a labor shortage we'll annex (enslave) Nati;)
