Hi Vanessa et al,
Nope didn't make it up Cook will try next summer. February/March came around as did my girlfriend and some atrocious weather which broke the South Island drought. i found another Aussie and did something again in mid March, an attempt on Rabbit pass via Gillespie pass around Makaroa to reconoittre the peaks around there, but had to turn back before rabbit pass as we ran out of food and the weather closed in pretty badly. also came back with a bad bug which knocked me out 4 a week. I then tried to get back to Aus but couldn't get rid of my car for almost 4 weeks!
In regards to AMIN and Yahoo, had a look at Yahoo, serviceable but ugly and unfriendly. I also have 1 other interested party, Carolina who says she is interested to assist with either AMIN or something else. Anybody else?
Will post something at the yahoo place and see what everybody says as well.
